downtown art crawl

The Art Crawl is a free monthly event that invites participants into downtown Franklin’s historic buildings and celebrates Williamson County’s unique artistic talent.

The first Friday of each month, the Franklin Art Crawl comes alive with dozens of artists dispersed throughout the thriving downtown area in businesses, churches, and other locations listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

This free event celebrates Williamson County’s local artists and provides both the novice and the art connoisseur an opportunity to view a wide variety of magnificent works, and perhaps even find that perfect piece art to enhance your home decor.

Many of the sites serve complimentary refreshments during the evening, and some offer live music or art.

By scanning the QR code on the event sign, visitors can easily navigate the Art Crawl area and find the businesses hosting artists each month.

Visit our Franklin Art Crawl Facebook page to learn more about the artists that will be featured at each participating site!

Are you an artist interested in showing your work at the Art Crawl?

To exhibit your work at the Franklin Art Crawl, we ask you first to sign up to be a member of the Arts Council. When you sign up for membership, you will provide us with your contact information, your media of choice, and a website where we can view your work, if you have one. Then, use this link to let us know that you are interested in showing your work at the Art Crawl. The reality is that we have many more requests from artists to show their work each month than we have participating downtown businesses; therefore, we cannot fairly allow the same artists to participate every month. We would like to schedule artists in 1-2 Art Crawls a year (more, if there is space) — this will allow as many artists as possible the opportunity to show their work throughout the year. We ask that you contact us directly rather than contact individual businesses. By offering a range of artists working in a variety of media, we can offer the public an art exhibition that is fresh and diverse, and that will continue to draw members of the community to the Art Crawl month after month. You may also be interested to know that we are currently working on establishing relationships with a variety of local venues to allow artists additional opportunities to show their work.
